Every person in our life is our dearest friend, a beloved one. Some friends offer us a direct experience of love, kindness, joy, sharing, and caring. Others trigger us, to stir up the unkindness that already lives within us, offering us an opportunity to become liberated, and experience greater freedom.

Every experience is a blessed gift. We do not create willy-nilly, we create purposefully, albeit often subconsciously. When we create hardship, it is because we are being hard on ourselves, and when we create pleasantness, it is because we are being kind.

Our hardness is the expression of the heavy thoughts and beliefs that we have identified with. It is this hardness that creates our hardship.

Our kindness is the expression of our essence, the loving nature of our true being.

We are fundamentally the creative and loving power that is present and our nature is to create. We create all our experiences, for our own benefit. Even our disturbances are our teachers. They point to that which we have not fully accepted, and offer an opening to a more generous way of being.
